Welcome to OHC Toronto!

Toronto is a a vibrant city filled with excitement and wonder; a place where you can experience true multiculturalism and meet new friends from all over the world while learning English. As Canada's largest city and the world's most cosmopolitan centre, Toronto has been voted, time and time again, as one of the best cities in which to live. With a NHL, NBA and a Major League Baseball team, world renowned restaurants and some of North America's most famous landmarks (an hour away from the famous Niagara Falls), there is something for everyone in Toronto.

OHC English - formerly Sol Schools - Toronto took its first registration in 1996 and has hosted over 8000 students from around the world. The school's founding philosophy was to offer high quality ESL English programs in a warm and comfortable atmosphere for our traveling students. Although we have grown in size, our philosophy has stayed the same.

OHC Toronto is situated in three historical government designated mansions in downtown Toronto. The location gives the school a unique and very advantageous position in the city as the only language school outside of an office building with a front yard and garden for students to enjoy.

Toronto has some amazing activities in the Summer and Winter seasons as well as year round!

Language courses

Course starts every Monday and is for all language levels.

General English - OHC Toronto

English 18 - 99 years old

You will join multi-national language classes following a syllabus closely mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, covering key language domains, skills and competencies appropriate to your level of ability.

Objectives: This programme of study is intended to enhance the all-round language and communication skills of those who wish to work or study more effectively in an international context. You will improve your language skills and also enhance your inter-cultural communication.

Intensive English courses - 30 lessons per week - OHC Toronto

English 18 - 99 years old

Students join multi-national language classes and study 15 hours per week following a syllabus closely mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, covering key language domains and competencies appropriate to their level of ability, and, will study another 15 hours per week, covering key language domains and competencies in accordance to their choice:

  • Cambridge Exam Preparations (FCE, CAE or CPE).
  • IELTS preparation.
  • Business English Skills; the language of presentations and meetings, negotiating in English, agreeing and disagreeing, and confident speaking at seminars, events and conferences while being able to communicate in English at work or socially.

Accommodations

Usually the check-in is one or two days before the start of the course, and check out on the day of graduation. You can change the dates in the form.

Homestay 18 - 99 years old

Many students choose homestays to further increase their exposure to the English language and Canadian culture. Living in a homestay also provides you with the comforts and warmth of living in a kind and supportive family. Living in a homestay will allow you to practice your newly developed language skills with English speakers.
