The EC Dublin School founded in 2017 is located on the banks of Dublin's Grand Canal. It is part of the EC (English Language Centers) group of 29 schools in 8 countries.

EC Dublin: A new modern language school


Located near the city center in a building with state-of-the-art facilities and the latest technologies, you will enjoy all the comforts of EC Dublin. The 9 classrooms in the center are equipped with digital boards. The school can accommodate 135 students. Skilled and responsive teachers motivate and guide students throughout the learning process.

The rest areas where students meet during breaks have computers and Wi-Fi. In the library and in the computer resource center, you can study alone.

The "General English" course (20 lessons per week) will give you a practical understanding of English and will accompany you until you reach a perfect command of it. You will see your confidence improve as we train you in the four communication skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.

The Intensive English course (30 lessons per week) includes the General English course above and allows you to personalise your course by taking 10 extra lessons per week from a wide selection of options.

Minimum age: 16 years old

Maximum number of students per class: 15 (12 on average)

Take an English for Work course at EC and you’ll be ready to take on opportunities in all parts of the globe.

The highly specialised teaching we offer will enable you to communicate in all situations, confident when interacting with colleagues and able to use the English language to achieve highly specific aims.

As well as improving your English, you’ll develop many other workplace skills. The ability to solve problems, prepare for meetings and argue for your point of view will prove invaluable as your career advances.

There are plenty of social activities to help you make the most of your time in Dublin and Academic Extras to maximise your practice time, with activities including language workshops and conversation classes.

In a host family, you will stay as a guest in a real Dublin house. A homestay is perfect for students who want to experience the local community and culture of Dublin. It is also a great way to practice your English in a very natural way.

A host family in Dublin can be an adult couple with or without children or a single adult. It is the "family atmosphere" that is the most important factor. There can be up to three other students in the family, but they will speak a different mother tongue from yours.

Distance to school: 15 to 45 minutes by public transport.

LIV Student Dublin is a student residence with over 200 rooms. It is located in the heart of the city with easy access to Dublin's shops and cultural attractions. With a large common area perfectly designed for you to study, relax and play games making friends is easy. Our carefully designed apartments will make you feel at home in no time. Whether it's a shared en-suite apartment or a double en-suite apartment we have a room for you. The area is well connected to the city centre by bus and tram.

  • 15 minutes walk to the city centre
  • Bedroom and common room of each apartment are cleaned once weekly. Outside of this time we encourage the students to keep on top of general cleaning. Mop and hoover are available from reception
