General English course in Sliema

This is our most popular course. It is designed to give you a solid introduction to the English language and devotes special attention to grammar, vocabulary building, conversation and pronunciation.

Intensive English courses in Sliema

English 16 - 99 years old

By devoting more hours to tuition, students can give their English a kick-start in a relatively short period of time. Within the Intensive English course, students follow the General English Course and have a further 2 sessions per day of 45 minutes each. They are given the opportunity to consolidate their General English studies and have further options to cover new ground.

TOEFL Preparation in Sliema

English 16 - 99 years old

The TOEFLU is an exam coming in USA. TOEFL scores are required for admission to more than 2,400 colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. In Europe, the TOEFL is also used by institutions where English is the language of instruction. Many government agencies, scholarship programs, and licensing/certification bodies use TOEFL scores to assess English proficiency.

AM Teacher Fluency Refresher Course

English 23 - 99 years old

Our courses are designed for teachers who would like to refresh their English knowledge and skills. It provides a professional environment to discuss different strategies, techniques and methodologies which can be adapted to suit the needs of different students.

The recommended approach is a balanced overview of the target language (English), grammar and vocabulary, pronunciation, and fluency development. Participants are given the opportunity to look at their area of interest and how these can be adapted to their own teaching style.

Participants will also have the opportunity to explore the use of interactive whiteboards and are encouraged to apply their skills in task-based activities leading to peer teaching exercises

Exam preparation IELTS

English 16 - 99 years old

IELTS is one of the world's most popular and recognized exams for university entrance and work visas. Our IELTS course has been structured around the requirements of the IELTS exam, and follows a syllabus that focuses on exam techniques, exam strategies, grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.

You will learn with students from different countries, which creates an interactive learning environment. Our teachers are experts on the IELTS exam, and will provide you with mentoring throughout the course. See the brochure for more information and details of our special offer!

Entry level: B1+ / B2 Level (Intermediate +)

With this course students can maximise their studies by following a more intensive programme. The course is designed to let students cover new material on the basis of what they already know. By devoting more hours to tuition, students can give their Business English a real kick-start in a relatively short period of time.

Very Centrally located, AM Hostel is on one of the best streets in Sliema. Close to the shopping centre with bars, café and restaurants AM Hostel is just off the Sliema seafront promenade and minutes away from the shopping centre. 

With good public transport connections and within walking distance from anything you may need this location is a great place for YOU to maximize your stay in Sliema.

AM Hostel offers 23 rooms split in 11 twin rooms, 5 quad bunk-bed rooms, 5 six bunk-bed rooms and 2 eight bunk-bed rooms.

Rooms are equipped with A/C, a bedside lamp and private bathroom. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the hostel.
AM Hostel is only 10 minutes walking distance from our main school and 15 minutes away from our Teenage Centre.

An AM Language apartment is your best option for cost-effective, independent accommodation while learning English in Malta. You have more independence and the opportunity to cook your own meals while enjoying the company of other students from different countries.

Our apartments are centrally located and close to local amenities like cafés, bars, restaurants, shops and buses and all are within walking distance of AM Language  (maximum distance 15 minutes on foot).

While all apartments are approved by our organisation, each one may offer particular features and different facilities.

Cancellation Policies

We apply the booking and cancellation conditions of the partner school. Below is an excerpt from the cancellation conditions.

In the event that you cancel your booking prior to arrival, the following charges will apply:
  • More than 28 days’ notice: 25% of your total cost as a cancellation fee.
  • 28 to 13 days notice: 50% of your total cost as a cancellation fee.
  • Less than 13 days notice: the full price will be charged.
  • No refunds are given after commencement of the respective English course, accommodation or any other service. No changes will be allowed to make up for refunds in the case of any cancellations.

In case of a student visa refusal, AM Language will charge 120.00 Euro cancellation fee. This will cover registration, placement and other administration charges. In case of cancellation due to Visas for less than 7 days notice, the normal cancellation policy above applies.
Any changes to confirmed bookings will be considered as cancellations, therefore cancellation policies will apply. Where possible AM Language will try to be flexible subject to availability and any such changes will incur a cost of 50.00 Euros administration expenses
