Most of the people are drowned in the information given by language schools. You will find different type of courses, different names of courses for the same exact course, different prices, different locations…

Worddy decided to ease this long and complicated process by offering you two options, either to book your courses by yourself (direct booking) if you already know where you want to go and what type of language course you want.

School
Before proceeding to the payment of the course / accommodation of your choice, you will have to create an account with all the necessary information (name, nationality, age ...)
If you need a visa, you will have to tick the box 'yes', in which case you will have to download the copy of your passport.
Once the payment has been made and the booking confirmation received, the school will send you a letter that must be provided when applying to your Visa.
Once you have obtained your Visa, you can inform the school.
If however your visa was refused, the full refund will be made and the reservation will be canceled.

It depends on schools, but often schools offer non mandatory activities in the afternoon and in the evening (visiting places, games on the beach ...)
Language course
To determine your English levels and be able to put yourself in a class of your levels. After your payment, you will receive access to take an online test that lasts between 45 and 75 minutes.
The goal is to try to do without outside help to know your real levels.
If you have not had the time to do the test before you leave, you can do it on the first day of classes (Monday mornings) at school.
During your stay, it is possible that the school puts you in a class of a higher level if you progress well.

You will receive a certificate from the school with the duration of the courses and the level at the end of your stay. In some schools it is also possible to pass internationally recognized official exams (IELTS, ..)
It depends on the schools, but in general there are between 6 and 12 students per class. The purpose of these classes is to practice oral language, small groups are more suitable.

You can decide of the start and end date BUT most of the time the courses start on Mondays morning around 9:00 - 10:00 AM.

The courses are different from the courses you can do in a traditional school, the purpose of these courses is to practice the language and therefore you will spend 80% of the time talking.

Accommodation
On our site you can find 3 types of accommodation:

Half board means you’ll be provided with breakfast and dinner. So when you booked half board, you should take care of your own lunch.

Usually, you can arrive in the accommodation from Saturday noon to Monday morning depending on your plane / train ticket.

When you are vegetarian, vegan or have other dietary needs, you can mention this in the "Special Request" field during the first step of the checkout.

The bed linen are mostly included in the accommodation but not the towels. Immediately after paying your reservation, you will receive an e-mail with the list of items to bring with you.

In general you have to walk 10 minutes between school and housing. But it can happen that in some big city (like New York), the student must make 45 minutes of subway.

Yes, the family you temporary live with will have set times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is something you have to take into account when you book a homestay.
Student residences are homes owned by the school. They are often close to schools. You will be completely autonomous while enjoying a friendly atmosphere brought by your many companions to overcome. It is the ideal formula for participants wishing to enjoy total autonomy and wishing to enjoy the friendly atmosphere created by all international students living in the residence.

If you wish, you can choose the airport transfer when making your reservation. In this case someone will pick you up at the airport and drop you in front of your accommodation.

It is not possible to give you a list of host families for you to choose from. However, you will receive at least two weeks beforehand the address of the accommodation, the description of the hosts and the check-in and check-out times.
For confidentiality/cancellation reasons you will also not receive information about the other student(s) occupying the accommodation. Also, it is possible that your flatmates will not stay the same number of weeks as you. However, we make sure that you are with people of your own age and with a different mother tongue from your own.

Booking
You can find the details of your reservation in the confirmation emails we sent you and in your Worddy account in the "My Bookings" section.
Once you have paid by credit card or bank transfer. You can see detail and status of your booking on your account in the section "My bookings"
The minimum age in order to direct book a course is 16 years old.

Yes, of course, on the search pages or on the school pages you have to tick "I do not need accommodation".
Payments
You can pay your trip by credit card (Visa, Master Card) or Paypal directly online (no extra charge), or by bank transfer.
Cancellation
Cancellation fees are different for each partner school. That's why we put a link at the bottom of every school page, so you can check the school cancellation terms.
If you want to cancel your trip after paying, the easiest way is to contact us by chat or phone and we will see with you the terms of cancellation and refund.
Travel & Safety
